THE PURPOSE AND VISION OF
THE CENTRAL VALLEY BAPTIST INSTITUTE for CHRISTIAN STUDIES
The CVICS will give
permission to our lay people to do ministry and missions and become
recognized leaders in accomplishing Christ’s work.
The studies will involve course work along with OJT
experiences and Coaching-Mentoring led by pastors and leaders of our
Central Valley Baptist Association churches.
The CVICS studies and
ministry experiences will work to give confidence and competencies
to laypeople to become stronger leaders in their churches—and God
will tap some to go beyond their church to help start other churches
in our associational area.
Our association’s goal is to
use the CVICS is to train and raise up leaders in preaching, youth,
children, worship, evangelism and assimilation, and administration
ministries. In
the future, under God’s blessings and guidance, we will see teams of
bi-vocational leaders go out from our churches to multiply disciples
and start new churches.
Please, please place the
CVICS and our association’s commitment to multiply disciples and
churches into your daily prayer list.
This will and can only happen on our knees.
